Glulam Roof Beams

If the proposed design of your roof is not achievable using a conventional truss design then Sydenhams can incorporate Glulam Laminated Beams to provide support intermediately or as a design statement the beams can be left exposed to provide maximum impact.

Suitable for both commercial and domestic applications, these are a natural alternative to steel or concrete, used where strength and clear unsupported spans are key factors. They offer a versatile range of uses from roof and floor beams to decking, in fact almost any structure.

Glulam Beams are manufactured using a lamination process, and are made from mainly spruce but also redwood and Siberian larch - all sourced from sustainable forests. They are bonded using an adhesive that is both water and weather resistant.

Sydenhams can supply Glulam Beams in sizes from 38mm x 225mm to 165mm x 630mm, and up to 12m long, with other sizes upon request, so please contant our Timber Centre in Wickham or our Timber Engineering facility in Newport, Isle of Wight, for more information.
