Firstly, we’d like to say a massive thank you to all of our customers, as without all of you none of this would be possible! We’re lucky to have such loyal, friendly and fantastic customers in every single one of our branches, showrooms, hire centres and timber centres across the UK, your support means the world to all of us here at Sydenhams.
Now let’s reflect on just some of our key moments throughout 2022, a year of welcoming new branches, growing our fleet of vehicles and so much more!
Expanding the Sydenhams Fleet
This year has seen us expand our fleet of vehicles across southern England and even on the Channel Islands.
Large orders of heavy materials are common for us, and we want to make sure we can deliver our materials to our customers as fast and efficiently as possible. As we grow as a company, this has become more vital than ever, and our expanding fleet truly helps with that.
We’re looking forward to another year of getting your deliveries to you and painting the town blue!

Welcoming Sydenhams Reading!
With a new branch, comes new staff and we’re so happy to have another team of amazing people under our Sydenhams roof. With a special shoutout to Andy Harris, who has recently taken on the role of branch manager at Reading.
Sydenhams Reading is fully open and operational but as with any branch acquisition the stock is still undergoing changes and growing. The branch recently introduced a new range of timber, available to order and purchase in store now!
Step Aside Lewis Hamilton, the Sydenhams Crew Have Arrived!
Summer time meant some fun outdoor activities with our customers. Our go-karting day is a yearly event and always goes down a treat.
We'd like say a massive thank you to Pavestone UK Limited for sponsoring all of our prizes
Grouped into teams, each team member takes on a series of laps and the final lap of the day is raced by the fastest driver from each team. Plenty of speedy racing around the track with the promise of a BBQ lunch in the middle means you get to see a lot of happy, smiley faces!
At the end of a fun filled day our winners were as follows:
Our winners were:
1st place - Team Wickham
2nd place- Team Warminster
3rd place - Team Winchester
Bring on summer, we’re already looking forward to the next one!

It’s Out With the Old and in With the New Over at Our Boscombe Branch
The work took place over May- August but it was definitely worth the wait.
Pop in and take a look around our new displays, which are exceptionally neat and tidy… If we do say so ourselves!
What a Catch!
September saw more warmer weather and more activity days with our customers.
A Sydenhams fishing trip sponsored by Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd
With 18 intrepid anglers competing, a mixture of our Warminster and Devizes branch staff and customers headed down to The White House Country Park for the day.
The day started with a draw for the pairs and peg numbers, followed by a hearty breakfast of bacon & sausage baps with tea and coffee
As usual with our pursuit of these crafty, cunning and magnificent underwater beasts fortunes varied, with some anglers struggling to catch despite all of their vast experience and knowledge!
When the final whistle blew at 3.30pm the winners were:
First Place: Luca Haine & Steve Owen - 68lb 5oz combined weight
Second Place: Rob Trim & Dean Fletcher - 65lb 4oz combined weight
Third Place: Richard Chalmers & Neil Hiscox - 59lb 2oz combined weight
Many thanks to...
- Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd for sponsoring the event
- White Horse Country Park for use of the venue
- The View restaurant for providing breakfast
- Chris Haine of Haines Angling for donating prizes
- Keith Fryer manager of Warminster for donating prizes
- Richard Chalmers and Rob Trim for a great handling of the final weigh in
And lastly to everyone that attended and enjoyed the day with us, bring on fishing day 2023!

Cosentino is 1.4-billion-euro, family-owned business that was founded in 1945, they specialise in innovative quality surfaces, you can shop their kitchen and bathroom worktops in your nearest Syd’s showroom.
The day was spent exploring the factory, followed by a trip to the desert to see the quarries that surround the factory grounds, which is where some of the raw materials come from.
