Conventional / Solid Floor Joists

We offer conventional timber joists in various sizes and grades. Softwood joists are perfect for smaller projects like extensions or small dwellings with short spans. They are available as loose joists for on-site construction or as floor cassettes for hassle-free installation.

 

I Beam Floor Joists

Structurally engineered timber joists, also known as I-Beams or I-Joists, combine quality, technology, and service for the UK construction industry. Our FinnJoist I-Beams, made with high-quality OSB web and Kerto (LVL) flanges, are produced in the UK. They offer superior dimensional stability, reducing floor movement and enhancing performance.

I-Beam Joists have low, uniform moisture content, preventing the splitting, warping, and twisting common with solid timber joists. Our range includes Kerto S LVL flanges, beams for stair trimmers, and Kerto Q for rim boards.

BBA approved and made from P.E.F.C. certified LVL, our I-Beams meet sustainable forest requirements. We can design to your specifications, using the advanced Finnframe design package for both domestic and commercial projects, with custom lengths available.

Easi-Joist® Metal Web Floor Joists

The Easi-Joist® floor system offers significant advantages over sawn timber and other engineered joist systems. It surpasses sawn timber in span and dimensional stability and provides a larger bearing area and an open web system, simplifying installation for carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, saving time and reducing costs. Precision engineering at our factory also reduces the need for return visits and remedial work.

Floor Cassettes

All our joist options are available loose for on-site installation or as pre-decked cassettes, which expedite site completion.

Our cassettes come with taped joints to prevent water damage during construction. Additional options include protective flooring, available as a peel-off film or a pre-finished waterproof deck.

Using floor cassettes significantly reduces on-site construction time.
