Our Winchester branch is situated on Winchester Trade Park, on Easton Lane and is the place to go for all things Timber, Sheet Materials, Decking, Ironmongery, Tools, Decorating Products, Bricks and more.
The team is currently made up of 14 individuals, and they’re the people that have kept this branch going over the past 20 years, we’d like thank all of you for your hard work and service! It wouldn’t be the same without all of you.
In honor of this fantastic occasion, we asked branch manager Nick to rack his brains for some key moments over the past 20 years. Nick has been working at the Winchester branch ever since opening day!
‘Well, it’s been such a long time now trying to remember things…’ Stated Nick, ‘I was 28 when I started at Winchester. We worked out of the Salisbury depot whilst Winchester was being built, I think we shared (or perhaps invaded) James Sherborne’s office. The only two members of staff here today that are originals is myself and Helen Burgess, the Branch Administrator. We have both aged with the branch.’ Let’s hope Helen doesn’t mind you saying that, Nick!
‘On our first-year anniversary we had some t shirts made up with “1 year on and still going strong”’ - And look at them now, 20 years later!
