Plan your kitchen with Sydenhams Kitchens & Bathrooms

So, you’ve made the decision that this is the year you’re treating yourself to a new kitchen. And why not, it’s one of the rooms in the home where we spend the most time, so we want it to work around our life, family and functions.

But where do you go from here!? It can be a little overwhelming planning a kitchen, but let us and our team of expert designers take away the stress and make this process as seamless as possible for you.

Where do we start I hear you ask? Read on to see how easy and stress free it is planning your dream kitchen with Sydenhams Kitchens & Bathrooms.

1. Book a design appointment and come see us

The first place to start is to come and see us and take a look around our modern, on-trend kitchen showrooms. This will help to give you inspiration on ranges, colours, styles and also ideas on practicality.

Any of our design consultants will be happy to pop the kettle on, grab you a coffee and walk around the showroom with you to get an idea of your requirements.

We have a full range of different style and ranges of kitchen units on display to suit you and your budget, including both Milano and Linear by Symphony, Laura Ashley Kitchens and if you’re requiring something a little more bespoke – The Kitchen Company. This will also give you the option of looking at what appliances you require. All our Kitchen showrooms are NEFF Master Partners so have full knowledge of all NEFF appliances. We also have access to SMEG, Miele, Caple, Quooker & Quettle plus more.

You can find your local showroom here.

SYDS TOP TIP: Make sure you collect lots of catalogues, and take photos of the displays you liked as these will all help us to put together your dream design.

2. We’ll come see you!

Once you have a bit of an idea of styles and colours, then we will arrange a home visit, so our designers are able to do see the room, get an idea of light and placement of windows and doors and also do a full measure the space. If you don’t require a site visit, or the site perhaps isn’t yet ready we can also work off architects’ drawings or provided measurements.

This also allows our designers to get an idea of the property and feel for you, the customer.

3. We get designing!

Now we know the size of the space, and an idea of what you would like we can get designing! We will draw up 2D and also 3D CAD drawings, all based on the discussions you’ve had with our Design Consultants.

They will also ensure objects such as Soil Vent Pipes, Drainage and Boilers are taken into consideration when creating this design. Locations for sinks and appliances will also be considered – however sometimes the placement of these are dictated by certain obstacles.

Once we’re happy with the design we will invite you back in so we can go through it together.

4. We’ll get the kettle on!

We now have the first design ready for you to view so we’ll arrange an appointment for a time that’s convenient to you.

Our designers will take you through the design and their reasonings, but they are 100% open for your feedback, and will be happy to go through this process multiple times to get the design to your requirements.

Once the design is complete the kitchen will be quoted up and upon approval all items will be ordered including any appliances or worktops that have been included on your quote.

SYDS TOP TIP: Share your timeline with us early on, as you may be having larger building works, and we understand your new kitchen may not be required until a certain date. Our kitchen units and appliances can take 4-8 weeks from placement of order to delivery, so please bear this in mind.

And remember, our whole design service is FREE, so you will not be expected to pay anything for your site measure or design!

If the above has gotten your ideas flowing, then we have showrooms in Bournemouth, Frome, Gillingham (Dorset), Newport (IOW), Salisbury, Southampton and Warminster. So, pop in and start your kitchen renovation with us!

Not quite ready to pop in and see us, but want to have a little play with designing your own kitchen, then click the following link and create your own design using Symphony’s Kitchen Visualiser – You can always bring this along to your initial design meeting with our consultants!
