Its active ingredient, Triclopyr, is highly effective on woody plants and is commonly used for brush control in rights of way and defoliation of wooded areas, however, unlike other weedkillers, it won't harm your grass. The Vitax SBK Brushwood Killer is also great for eliminating broadleaf weeds, especially Creeping Charlie. For best results, apply from May to October (June to August for woody weeds) when the soil is moist and weeds are actively growing. If you're treating tree stumps, it's best to do so in Autumn or Winter, avoiding April, May, and June when the sap is rising. Keep in mind that this product is classified as an irritant, so use with care.
